Hidden in the heights of the French Prealps, is this magnificent double-arch geological rock formation. As night falls and the milky way appears, a bright light flies through the air, casting its glow upon great bones of the earth. A small town glows warmly in the distance, its inhabitants fast asleep and unaware of the surreal activities.
This location was only recently discovered due to the difficulty to get here. The 3-hour hike with 900 metre elevation gain was tough with heavy backpacks on unstable terrain, but the payoff was well worth it! Lit with aerial lighting rigs to bring out the textures of the rock, this image is comprised of a series of long exposures over the course of a few hours. A lone figure was included in the composition to convey how massive this structure is.
